Grave of Sang-heon Kim

It is of Kim, Sangyong, a civil officer and a great scholar of the mid Josun (1561~1637).

In 1590 (23rd year of Sunjo), passed the government official exam in the field of army services though, he escaped to Wonju giving up his post because he was against the argument regarding Inmok daebi (grandmother of a king) annulment.

After Injo banjung (restoration), he was appointed to a government post (Pandongnyung busa) and filled various posts successively.

In 1636 of Byungja horan, refuged with king and princes’ wives and children in Gangwha-do, but killed himself by setting fire on the fortress when it was collapsed.
The graveyard also has his wife’s grave (Andong Kwon) faced to the eastsouth direction. His shindobi located at the entrance of the graveyard, the height is 360cm, the epitaph composed by his brother Kim, Sanghun and written by Yu, Sijung, Uikumbudosa.

Public transportation
Taking the bus number of 65/30/3/5/9205/2227 in front of Chungryangri station and off at Donong-dong (30 minutes) and transferring to Maeul (local) bus number 10-1 which will take for 15 minutes.
Automobile
Taking Gangbuk doro (road) passing by Topyung interchange, then on your right side you will find Mieum naru (ferry) from where it will take 5 more minutes to get the village.
